Dr. Pat Meye is the founder and co-director of the Renewing Life Center. She has done pastoral care in both the church and counseling setting here in Las Vegas and in California. Pat's educational background includes a M.A degree from Florida State University, focusing on personal and life development and a Masters in Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. Pat has a special emphasis from her graduate training in crisis and spiritual formation. Pat and her husband Doug have been married for over 30 years and are blessed with 2 children.

Mark Whelchel is the co-director of the Renewing Life Center. He has served as a Pastor in Las Vegas for over twenty seven years and he has served on several non-profit boards. Mark is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and his educational background includes a B.A. in church growth from Hope International University and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He has a special emphasis in treating couples, but he also enjoys working with individuals and families. Mark and his wife Christie have been married for over 20 years and they have been blessed with four children.

Kevin Scott has been in full-time ministry since 1994 and is the founding pastor of The Stream in Las Vegas. Prior to starting The Stream, Kevin worked in college campus ministry and served on various missions in Africa, England, and in urban areas in the U.S. He continues to serve as the Pastor of The Stream and as an associate staff member with Worldwide Discipleship Association (WDA) - an organization that provides resources and training to individuals and churches to assist people in the process of spiritual formation. Kevin and his wife Lauren have been married for more than ten years and they have three children.

Kathy Houston-Hencken has over twenty years of experience in counseling, both in independent private practice and with Samaritan Counseling Centers. She has been licensed in Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1996. Kathy also serves as an elder at Grace Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas where her husband Jim is the Senior Pastor. Kathy and Jim have two children.

Jenny Stepp earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and graduated from Seattle University with her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Jenny has worked in a variety of counseling settings, from drug and alcohol treatment to higher education to Christian counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and works with adults and adolescents on a wide range of issues.

Judi Davis has joined the Renewing Life Center family and has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2002. She received her BA in education from the University of Denver, her MA in School Psychology and School Counseling and an endorsement in Marriage and Family Therapy from UNLV. Additionally she received her Ph.D. in School Counselor Education from UNLV. Judi works with families, couples, and children. In addition to being a Marriage and Family Therapist, Judi also works as a school counselor and teaches in the Marriage and Family department for the University of Phoenix.
Jennifer Antonucci, Licensed CADC & MFT Intern

Jennifer is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Intern and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counseling Intern. She joins the Renewing Life team with over one year of supervised experience as a practicum student. She has over twenty years experience in pastoral counseling and leading women's groups and ministries. Jennifer and her husband Vince have started two churches.
Through her years of ministry and pastoral counseling, Jennifer has seen amazing transformation in people's lives and knows real change is possible. She is passionate about partnering with her clients to give them hope in their journey towards healing and growth.
Jennifer enjoys working with couples, individuals, families, and children.

Glad Hillman, Licensed MFT Intern

Glad Hillman has joined the Renewing Life Center family as a Marriage & Family Therapist under the supervision of Mark Whelchel. She also spent years counseling as a practicum student while at National University.
Glad has been a senior leader in Women's Ministry and for many years she mentored women and lead bible studies that enriched their lives based on God's word. Most recently, she served as an instructor and counselor in biblical based counseing at Central Christian Church in Henderson, Nevada.
Glad views every client as an andividual; she helps them find the answers and solutions that will enhance their overall well-being. She tailors each session with care and flexibility. Glad brings a holoistic approach to the counseling experience and with more than 25 years in the Wellness Industry, she has a high regard for the intimate interaction of mind, body, and spirit. She embraces the philosophy that to live life to its fullest, one needs to have a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Boe De Leon, Licensed MFT Intern

Boe De Leon is a Bilingual Spanish speaking Licensed Marriage Family and Child Intern. Through her experience as a therapist, Boe has enjoyed working with individuals, couples, families and children. She also has training in Trauma, as an EMDR Psychotherapist. She has one year of supervised experience as a practicum student, and two years of empowering, Individuals, families, and children through Coaching in Private Practice.
Boe has over 20 years of experience leading children, and women’s ministry. Most recently she served as a Health and Wellness Director in the Adventist Health Ministry Department of her Church. She also has a teaching background in 1st grade, and knows the long lasting impact a person can leave on the lives of children.
Boe and her husband Raul have been married for over thirteen years and have three beautiful children, and a cat.

The multi-disciplinary team at Renewing Life Center promotes a cooperative learning environment, offering four different types of counselors:
Marriage and Family Therapists - State licensed Masters level therapists with training in family systems, individual, couple and family therapy.
Pastoral Counselors - Ordained Pastors with educational backgrounds ranging from Masters to Doctoral levels with extensive experience in pastoral care and counseling.
Marriage and Family Therapist Interns - Pre and Post Graduate interns working towards state licensure as Marriage and Family Therapists.
