Transforming Life Program

 

Transforming Life (TL) is a 27-week Discipleship study for transforming the soul, heart, mind, and body.  TL is Bible-based, helping you apply its truths to everyday life and relationships with God, self, and others.  TL also teaches how God brings wholeness to our lives through the process of Christian Spiritual Formation centered in a personal relationship with Christ.

The following Bible verses illustrate this Christ Centered Formation:

Romans 8:28-29 ^“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”

2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 2:12-13 “…continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God is very intentional, over our lifespan as Christians, to bring about His GOOD in us.  He has formed us, saved us through Christ, and wants very much to restore us to Himself, and then with others…spouse, family, children, friends, and people around us who need Christ…This is the ongoing work of Christian Spiritual Formation.  There are FIVE consecutive sections:

Section 3:   Taking Hold of the Real Present

10.        Holy Father Love

11.        Understanding Sex and Gender, Masculine and Feminine

12.        Fear, Rejection, and Reconciliation of Genders

13.        The Holy Christian Imagination

14.        Introspection:  Learning to Come Out of Self Into Christ

Section 4:   God’s Healing of our Wounds, Sins, and Defenses by His Love and Grace

15.        Anxiety:  The Opposite of Experiencing God’s Love

16.        The Sense of Being:  Our Identity in Christ

17.        Transference:  Separating Past from Present

18.        Ambivalence and Confusion

19.        Understanding Anger and Its Expressions

20.        Deprivation and Affirmation

21.        Envy:  the Opposite of Thankfulness

22.        Narcissism:  Love Turned Inward

23.        Splitting Off from Reality Into Deception

25.        Renouncing Idol Worship (Baal, Ashtoreth, and Molech)
